Founded in 2007 by Lui Kok Hooi and Angrid Chua, who started with a night market stall in Taiping, Perak, HOMIE is a Malaysian bedding brand that now makes its own comforter sets, baby and kids essentials, cotton towels and hotel-focused products in its Taiping factory. Households shop the range directly, while hotels, retailers and other brands buy through wholesale supply, OEM production and raw material sourcing.

A Journey of Growth and Transformation
In 2007, Lui Kok Hooi and Angrid Chua set up a bedding stall at the Taiping night market with a few bundles of fabric. Shoppers were sceptical of market goods, but the couple held to one belief: the pillow, bedsheet and towel a family uses every day deserve to be made well.
Our Milestones
Lui Kok Hooi and Angrid Chua began selling bedding with a few bundles of fabric and the belief that families deserved better than low-quality market goods.
Production moved into the family home, and Homey Gallery opened as the first retail shop, which is where wholesale began.
Output outgrew the house and shifted into a commercial shoplot.
The first HOMIE factory opened, taking production in-house at scale.
The marketing company was established as headquarters.
Distribution moved closer to the Klang Valley market.
A second Puchong hub opened before the operation relocated to Cheras.
The Penang hub opened at Raja Uda, Butterworth.
