A Journey of Growth and Transformation
It started in Taiping when a young couple, Lui Kok Hooi and Angrid Chua, set up a simple stall at the local night market in 2007. They sold bedding with nothing more than determination, a few bundles of fabric and the belief that families deserved more than just cheap, low-quality market goods.
Shoppers were sceptical. Night market products were often dismissed as second rate. Yet this husband and wife stood firm. They knew that a pillow, a bedsheet and a towel were not just fabric. They were part of a family’s life. They were where children curled up after school, where parents laid their tired heads, where love and rest were shared. That belief sparked the birth of HOMIE, now a trusted bedding brand in Malaysia that has grown into six factories and a household name across the nation.

Lui Kok Hooi started with a small night market stall and built it into one of Malaysia’s most trusted bedding brands. He takes care of every detail in production to make sure HOMIE’s bedsheets, pillows and towels are made with quality and care. His story shows how hard work and belief can turn a simple dream into something big for families across the country.
Ms. Angrid Chua (蔡美凌)
Founder and CEO
Angrid Chua has always believed that bedding should bring comfort and happiness to families. She leads HOMIE’s sales, marketing and product ideas, always thinking about how to improve the way people sleep. Her passion created TUYA, Malaysia’s first organic cotton antibacterial pillow, proving that a local brand can bring new standards of comfort and health to everyday life.
